Welcome to Friday! Here’s this week’s quick pick of internet finds. As usual, good things come in threes…
♥ I was really excited to discover Eco Brides, and Australian company devoted to providing (in their own words) “the tools needed for brides and grooms to create an ethical, sophisticated, eco-friendly wedding day”. They produce a free biannual digital magazine (available via their website) and they’ll be hosting a wedding fair in Brisbane in August.
♥ The death of a close relative is hard to deal with at any time. But what would you do if it happened in the lead up to your wedding day? Offbeat Bride has an article on the way one bride is handling it, and a links to several related articles.
♥ Queensland Brides has a whole host of reasons why you should consider an autumn or winter wedding.
Art & Design
♥ I have a slightly strange interest in doors, best illustrated by telling you that several years ago I came across a book made up entirely of photographs of front doors, and it struck me as a completely sensible thing to publish. New York artist José Guízar seems to have the same kind of interest in windows if his windows of New York project is anything to go by.
♥ Kenn Skogli’s realistic drawings are impressive. Note: Some images in this link may not be considered suitable for your workplace.
♥ Zen Habits provides a reminder that in a world that can be filled with stresses and distractions it’s important to stop, see the beauty of the moment we’re in and smile.
♥ I love Cody Gohl’s list of things to pack when you leave everything for a foreign city. I think most of the list applies even if the city in question is in another part of your own country.
That’s it for another week’s quick picks. Have a great weekend!
P.S. We don’t receive payment or gifts to list specific products or services in our Quick Picks, we link to stuff because we like it.
